At Don Polo Photography, we specialize in dance portraits that are both beautiful and efficient. For dance studios, we provide organized posed recital portrait sessions designed to keep photo day running smoothly while creating images that parents love and studios are proud to present.

We also offer creative dance photography sessions for individual dancers who want something more personalized. These sessions can be created in the studio or on location for artistic portraits, personal milestones, or portfolio images for dancers preparing for university programs, auditions, and performing arts opportunities.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are you accepting any new dance studios?

Of course, we would love to photograph more dance studios! April and May are the busiest months of the year for us and weekends are hard to come by. We do have 2 or 3 weekends open during this time that we could schedule additional dance studios and weekday afternoon and evening we could get 4 or 5 more. Other times of the year are wide open for dance studios though and we love what we do. Do you take audition photos?

We absolutely love doing audition sessions. They give you the dancer enough time to warm up and hit your best poses and us the chance to really show off what you can do. We have several packages to choose from depending on your time and budget. Make sure when you schedule to leave enough time to stretch and warm up before we start to photograph.

Will you travel outside Salt Lake County?

Sure. Tell us where you are located and let's talk. We do have a minimum numbers of students if you are further away but we are totally self contained and can bring everything we need to you. We can do online sales in advance or in person sales on picture day so you don't have to deal with any sales yourself. We deliver all photos to your studio about two to three weeks after the shoot.

How long is a typical dance shoot?

For an audition or portfolio dance shoot plan on about one to two hours depending on the package purchased. Plan an additional 30 minutes at least at the beginning of the shoot to stretch and warm up. Typically in a two hour shoot you might bring 5 or 6 outfits and we will use 2 or 3.

Do you have your own studio?

We do have a full studio in Taylorsville, Utah we work out of in addition to our studio gardens. We also do a lot of on location sessions outdoors. Our studio is somewhat limiting for jumps or action shots so we may rent another location for those sessions.

Where are you located?

We are located in Taylorsville, Utah. Our studio address is 3022 W. Mt. Logan Way. It is in our custom home we had built for the purpose of hosting our photography studio and gardens.
